Illinois Real Estate Salesperson License Information

There are two licensing options in Illinois for people interested in real estate: Salesperson and Broker. Either option requires a different number of courses to be taken and has a different required state examination. In order to obtain licensure, candidates must pass a written examination, followed by individual approval by the Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR - http://www.idfpr.com/). This package provides the 45 hours of coursework required to obtain a salesperson pre-license and the 75 hours required to obtain a broker pre-license.

Illinois Salesperson License Requirements

Anyone hoping to qualify for a state examination must provide proof of completion of prerequisite courses. If you are only planning on obtaining a salesperson pre-license or have already obtained a salesperson pre-license, you can sign up for our salesperson-only or continuing broker packages to save money. When you apply for examination:

• If you have completed all salesperson courses, submit transcripts showing completion of these courses with your examination application.
• If you have completed courses for the broker license, submit transcripts showing completion with your examination application.
• If you have not completed your courses, you must certify under penalty of perjury that you are currently enrolled in an acceptable course program by signing the examination application.

The course is self-paced and can therefore be completed from the comfort of home anytime, day or night. A motivated student could possibly complete these courses in 4 - 5 1/2 weeks. Step 2: PASS EACH COURSES FINAL EXAM:

Each course that you take for the Salesperson/Broker package will have a final exam associated with it. You must pass this exam with a 70% or better in order to receive credit for the course. With AgentCampus courses, you don't need to have the course monitored; it’s all facilitated online!

Step 3: SEND IN YOUR APPLICATION AND SCHEDULE A DATE FOR THE STATE EXAMINATION:
