There are two licensing options in Illinois for people interested in real estate: Salesperson and Broker. Either option requires a different number of courses to be taken and has a different required state examination. To begin a career in real estate, candidates must pass a written examination, followed by individual approval by the Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR - http://www.idfpr.com/). This package provides the 75 hours of coursework required to obtain a broker pre-license in addition to the salesperson license.

Illinois Salesperson License Requirements

Anyone hoping to qualify for a state examination must provide proof of completion of prerequisite courses. You should only select this package if you have already completed the licensing requirements to become a real estate salesperson. When you apply for examination:

• If you have completed all salesperson courses, submit transcripts showing completion of these courses with your examination application.
• If you have completed courses for the broker license, submit transcripts showing completion with your examination application.
• If you have not completed your courses, you must certify under penalty of perjury that you are currently enrolled in an acceptable course program by signing the examination application.

Once you have signed up for the best package for you, you can begin your real estate education immediately. The course materials on AgentCampus were prepared in conjunction with the education team at the Illinois Academy of Real Estate to help the student focus on the requirements for the state examination. The course is self-paced and can therefore be completed from the comfort of home anytime, day or night. A motivated student could possibly complete these courses in 2 - 2 1/2 weeks. However, students are given a maximum of 6 months to complete the course, beginning when the student first enrolls.

Step 2: PASS EACH COURSES FINAL EXAM:

Step 3: SEND IN YOUR APPLICATION AND SCHEDULE A DATE FOR THE STATE EXAMINATION:
